Can someone interpret Lab Results?
Male/39/5'10"/218 Lbs.
I'm obviously overweight and WAS a moderate-heavy drinker (3-4 drinks every day). I've cut back a lot in the past couple of weeks (like one every other day). No obvious symptoms besides some stomach bloating/gastritis (I have IBS and seem to get this "full/bloated feeeling" in my stomach at least once a year that then goes away).
I've also been under insane stress with everyone in our house being sick (kids/wife with stomach virus + work stress)
I recently had some labs done (just because it's been some time) and I've screenshotted the pages below:
Obviously my big worries are my ALT/AST and then my BUN/Creatinine (Also Ketones being +1 is weird)
Some other information:
- I did these labs in the morning and the medicine I take (Hydroxizine/Seroquel) really dries me out, for the Urinalysis I couldn't even fill 1/4 of the cup with pee, so clearly I was dehydrated. The assistant was really iffy if it would even be enough (I was also fasting)
- They had to stick me twice because the first time the blood was just not flowing (She said it seemed really thick)
- My creatinine usually floats between 1.1-1.3 and BUN is usually 14-16
- My eFGR is usually like 75-85 which kinda scares me, but i've heard basically >60 doctors don't worry but this is the lowest it's been (62)
- I've had a few kidney stones before (like 2 big ones that needed surgery)
My Questions:
- How concerning are these? I know my ALT/AST is up probably due to my drinking and weight. But i've basically read these levels are "mild". ChatGPT (I know I know, but I figured i'd try it) suggested possible NAFLD since my AST was less than ALT
- How scary are my Kidney values (BUN/eGFR/Creatinine)? This is the worst they've been but I think it's also probably the most dehydrated i've been. I'm worried I have CKD now (Is Trace protein a big deal?)
- How likely are a lot of these dehydration?
- What's with the ketones? That's a new one, but someone else told me it's probably because I took the test fasting?
Can anyone quell my fears? I've been in a panic since i've gotten the results. I know I need to make changes (Lose weight, and have been lessening alcohol) but i'm hoping a lot of this is dehydration (ChatGPT said since specific gravity in my urine is high that is likely)
Thanks. I'm hoping someone can stop me from freaking out.
