Why do flat brims get so much hate?
What am I missing? I actually prefer flat brim over the an extremely curved or even bent brim (i.e. Japan LL teams). Why ban flat brims?
For context: I am putting together a handbook for my 13U travel team and was researching other handbooks for inspiration when I came across the wording in the pic I've copied. I am 48 and have worn hats as long as I can remember. I have gone through a few stages in my life, from dad hats with the curved brim, to snap backs, and ultimately to fitted hats. Fitted hats are my preference however for team gear, I usually order Richardson or Pacific Headwear flex-fit hats. Both fitted and flex-fit styles typically come with flat brim. I like the flat brim and prob put a slight curve on my brim, but not much. I have friends that have busted my chops in the past about the flat brim and I didn't think much of it. The screenshot I shared is from a team in Pennsylvania (I live in RI) so I was wondering if there is something more to the flat brim than just preference.
