How gory is invincible?

So basically I am very interested in watching this show, my boyfriend is very into this show and I have heard nothing but good things about it and the concept and plot intrigue me a lot too!

There is only one problem, I have a very VERY deep fear of blood and gore. I know this show has some of the worst animated gore ever and I really want to watch but I am not so sure on how I will handle it.

He has told me that he would rate it a 7 out of 10 on my gore scale which is...pretty intimidating. But what is the general consensus? He has also seen The Boys which I was also interested in but that was a very big NO.

Edit: So...I watched the first episode with my boyfriend and he only covered my eyes during one particular part of the last scene. I was able to watch everything else and handled it...okay. It is definitely EXTREMELY gory, but I think I am able to watch it.
