What's Up With Ellen Degeneres?

I know that she got brutally canceled a few years (Or last year? Can't remember) back for treating her staff like absolute shit and just got exposed for being the horrible, wretched human being that she truly is. But since then, I've heard literally nothing about her since. What's up with Ellen? Is she trying to make a comeback? Because she's trying to claim that she's "done" with showbiz, so to me it looks like she's trying to gain sympathy.
