Trying to Add Husband to Booking

I booked a cruise leaving in three weeks. I originally booked as a single but my husband now wants to join me. I went on Princess chat and they first said they couldn’t add him and then said they could but they quoted me the same price as I paid as a single.

Anyone have any success adding a guest after booking as a solo traveler?
