My Experience Coming From an iPhone 16 Pro Max...
My Experience
After 10 years on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, I decided to switch things up with the RedMagic 10 Pro and honestly, I’m impressed. The screen is super vibrant, and the high refresh rate makes everything feel buttery smooth. It’s like the phone was made for gaming but still holds up great for everyday stuff.
Cameras: The camera’s solid, but not exactly iPhone level. No telephoto lens is a bit of a bummer, and low-light shots aren’t as sharp. But honestly, the photos still turn out better than I expected. The front camera isn’t amazing, but having no notch is a nice trade off. I just flip the phone and use the rear cam for selfies works like a charm!
Sound: The speakers? Eh, not as rich as the iPhone. They’re decent, just missing a bit of bass and details. Fine for casual listening, but you’ll notice the difference if you’re used to Apple’s sound.
Everyday Use: For daily use, it’s been smooth sailing. NFC payments, Android Auto, and calls all work without a hitch. I took it on a trip from Canada to the U.S., and the data connection was rock solid the whole way. Apps works smoothly, Fingerprint though works like 8 times out of 10.
Gaming & Performance: This is where the RedMagic kills it. Games run flawlessly, and the built-in cooling actually works. Plus, the shoulder triggers and gaming features are sick. No overheating, no lag just smooth performance all around. Being able to connect it to my hotel's TV and playing with a controller during my trip was the best thing ever!
Battery Life: Battery life? Absolute beast. It lasts all day and then some, even with heavy use. And the fast charging is crazy full charge in under 45 mins. Total game-changer. Also the charge separation is a great feature to preserve battery longevity.
Software & Design: The OS has been stable so far no major bugs. It’s not as polished as iOS, but once you get used to it, it’s solid. The phone itself looks super sleek with a gaming vibe, which I actually kinda dig. Feels premium and durable but a little chunkier than an iPhone.
Final Thoughts: The RedMagic 10 Pro isn’t perfect, but it’s got a lot going for it. If you can live with a slightly weaker camera and speakers, the display, battery, and performance more than make up for it. Definitely feels like a great switch if you’re into gaming or just want something different from the usual iPhone experience.
Btw the photo was taken with the Redmagic Nova Tablet 😎
