How am I supposed to be romantic with my awkward bf who’s never dated before????

Context: I've been dating my bf for months and I love him a lot. I know he's known as weirder or ugly but I don't care. He's super sweet and funny. But bc of that he's kind of a gentle giant who's never dated before so the most romantic gesture we've done is just leaning on eachother's shoulders. Today I wanted to make it a goal to hold his hand but I could never find the right chance. I know he's not doing it on purpose since he just usually uses his words more and has never dated before, but I still dk what to do😭
