People around me keep saying I would change my mind later

I’m 18F and ever since I was very young I couldn’t stand the idea of having kids. I’m just simply not type of person to be a parent and that’s something I’ve always been aware of. Because of my age I’m often not taken seriously and get told that I will change my mind later, but I’m not so sure about that. Could they be right?
