At what age did certain stores/styles feel "too young" to you?

At age 25, I was still in Hot Topic and Forever 21, and as "late" as age 33, I was still shopping F21 for going out dresses. But in the last couple years, I've let go of a lot of my fast fashion/trendy/youthful stuff and am headed in a more subdued/classic/elegant/upscale direction. I'm even considering an "investment purse", when I was usually all about a fun tote bag and call it a day. I'm now 39 and my clothes are J. Crew, Banana, Ann Taylor and LOFT, Eileen Fisher, Free People and Anthro and a sprinkling of other one-off items.

How about you all? When did you feel a shift from cute/twee/punky/rock/girly/youthful to a more "mature" style? If ever :)
