Caught taking lunch on the clock - will I be fired?

Hello, I work for a big financial very corporate company in California. I’m paid hourly as an associate and my manager saw me parking in the garage after lunch. On this particular day he decided to check my clock in/clock out schedule and confronted me that it didn’t align with my actual lunch. I said I worked through my minimum 30 minute lunch to not hit the 5 hour mark and then took an hour lunch on the clock. (So 30 min unpaid lunch on company time) he said that through audits the company can see when my badge was scanned and that I could be flagged. Will be fired?

Ps: I make $30/hour and it’s not much, as well as having to hit the 8 hour mark everyday is super annoying. I don’t think my extra 30 minutes of lunch is a huge deal, especially as I’ve been a high performance per my quarterly review. I wish I was just on salary and didn’t have to worry about taking lunch at my 5 hour mark…I understand it’s time theft, even though my team produces billions for the company a month (we raise funds).

How severe is this and should I be looking for a new job?
