Dead drop Quest and rifs s Cross play

Me and a friend just bought Dead drop and was hoping for a fun co op game, he has Quest and I have a rift s, but we cant get co op to work. after I invite him to my Dead drop lobby I cant start a map, it just say's waiting for more players.. we both have the game on oculus store, but cant get the damn multiplayer to work -.-

So how can we get it to work ?
