Telling my husband…

So for context, my husband 34M wasn’t too keen on having a 3rd and I’m dreading his reaction. Our daughter has just turned 4 and son is only 10 months. My husband works 1.5hours away so on the days he is in the office he only has a very short time when he gets back for dinner, family time, bed time.

I found out a few weeks ago I was expecting but my husband had a few exams coming up for work qualifications so I didn’t want to tell him before these and throw him off. It was then my daughter’s birthday and I didn’t want to overshadow the occasion.

I wanted to tell him tonight as he was meant to work from home tomorrow so he could process the news before the weekend. He’s just dropped it on me that he wants to go in the office tomorrow now.

I’m so annoyed I just wanted the news to go down well and for him to be able to get over the shock for a few days at home. I’m now thinking of waiting even longer, I’m shattered and I can’t take him going mad at the news. I’ll remember it forever if he takes it badly.

Any advice of how to break the news to get a nice reaction?
